Well, I have been describing myself as a fiscal moderate (sensible government -- balanced budgets, please; sensible spending, with frequent reforms to curtail the fraud, abuse and cronyism endemic to government) and a social safety net, but no free handouts for life -- people should work if they can) and social libertarian (i.e., get the government the heck out of our private lives) for years. Guess that still fits.
